Lucy Reynolds Psychotherapist

I know what it’s like to hold everything in and pretend you’re coping when inside you’re exhausted. That’s one of the reasons I became a therapist – to support people who, like I once did, feel stuck in anxiety, self-doubt, or the weight of past experiences.

About me

Alongside my professional training, my own journey means I deeply understand the courage it takes to reach out – to finally say “I can’t keep doing this on my own.”

For years, I tried to keep everything together – being the one others could rely on, doing what was expected, striving to be “fine.” On the outside, it looked like I was managing. Inside, I was running on empty.

It took time, therapy, and honest self-reflection to begin unravelling that pattern – and to realise that strength doesn’t come from holding it all together, it comes from allowing ourselves to soften.

Yoga and mindfulness became part of that process for me. They helped me slow down, reconnect with my body, and listen to the parts of myself I’d ignored for years. They gave me a sense of peace I hadn’t known I was missing.

Now, I help others do the same – to reconnect with themselves, to feel safe in their own skin, and to start living in a way that feels real, not performative.

In our work together, there’s no pressure to be anything other than human. We explore what’s underneath the exhaustion, the people-pleasing, the constant striving – and gently begin to untangle it.

I draw on both evidence-based psychotherapy and grounding, body-based approaches from yoga and mindfulness. Sometimes that means talking things through; sometimes it means noticing how your body feels, or finding small moments of stillness. It’s about helping you reconnect to yourself, one step at a time.

"My aim isn’t to “fix” you - because you’re not broken."

My aim is to help you find a steadier, kinder relationship with yourself, so you can live in a way that feels more authentic, peaceful, and real.

If any of this resonates, you’re not alone – and you don’t have to keep holding it all in anymore.

My Professional Background

I’m an Integrative Psychotherapist and Yoga Teacher, blending traditional therapeutic approaches with body-based and mindfulness practices to support deep, sustainable healing.

My qualifications include:

  • BSc (Hons) Counselling & Psychotherapy (Professional Practice) – First Class

  • Certificate in Trauma-Focused Therapy (Manchester Psychotherapy Foundation)

  • BWYQ Level 4 Diploma in Teaching Yoga

  • CPD in Restorative Yoga

  • ‘Be Mindful’ Certificate in Mindfulness

  • Reiki I, II & III Certificates

I’m a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (MBACP) and work in line with their ethical framework.

Before becoming a therapist, I was a mum, business owner, company director, and mature student – juggling deadlines, family life, and the quiet feeling that something was missing.

I know what it’s like to wear many hats and lose sight of yourself beneath them. That’s why I’m passionate about helping others slow down, find space to breathe, and reconnect with who they are beneath the roles, expectations, and noise of everyday life.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me walking my dogs through the hills around Ramsbottom, rolling out my yoga mat with a cup of tea nearby, or spending time with my family. I love quiet mornings, good coffee, and moments that feel real.

My approach is warm, grounded, and deeply human. I bring everything I’ve learned – professionally and personally – to support you in creating a life that feels like yours again.
